Cailey + Jason | Heather Krah Photography | Pittsburgh Wedding Photographer

Cailey and Jason were such a pleasure to work with.  Throughout working with them I discovered we had a lot in common.  I knew we were destined to be friends when their first dance song, Tim McGraw’s My Best Friend, came on…it’s mine and my hubby’s song too.  Their day was so fun and full of love despite the sideways rain that made an appearance.  Speaking of appearances, make sure you check out this whole post…there was a special appearance at the reception.  Love and luck to you both!

We may have fought homecoming at two universities and been stuck in atrocious traffic, but there is nothing else I can say except that this wedding was so much fun.  The party went late into the night and included ‘midnight snacks.’  Thank you both for letting me capture your incredible day!

Jennifer + Pierce | Heather Krah Photography | Pittsburgh Wedding Photographer

These are my people.  Pierce works with my husband and in their line of work that makes them family.  I was so happy to be able to document their beautiful day and to celebrate with them.  Here’s to all the years to come!

Despite the torrential downpour that took place, these two had an amazing day filled with family, fun and PENGUINS!

We had a gorgeous afternoon for Tammy and Deane’s engagement session.  We met up at the Frick Fine Arts Building on the University of Pittsburgh campus, Deane’s alma mater to start and then headed to Schenley Park.  Funny story, on my way to meet them I took a wrong turn…as is the usual for me…and I came across this field of flowers.  I knew they would love it and sure enough they looked fabulous in there.  I look forward to celebrating their wedding with them in October!

Lauren & Bill Got Married | Heather Krah Photography | Pittsburgh Wedding Photographer

Lauren and Bill got were married at The Mayernik Center at Avonworth Community Park.  The original plan was for an outdoor ceremony, but mother nature clearly had other plans that day.  After they said “I do” the skies cleared long enough for us to squeeze in some gorgeous outdoor formals, fog and all.  Here is a peek into their day.  Thank you both for having me be a part of it.

Amy & Ryan Got Married | Heather Krah Photography | Pittsburgh Wedding Photographer

I had the pleasure of photographing Amy & Ryan’s wedding this past September on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. With a nautical theme (can I say how much I loved the color palette) to the subtly including their precious fur baby the day was flawless. OK, so MAYBE it took an army to bustle Amy’s dress…that I’m still convinced requires its own zip code…but it was worth it because it was simply stunning.

Thank you both for having me be a part of your day. Enjoy!

Vicki & Sean Got Married | Heather Krah Photography | Pittsburgh Wedding Photographer

What is a better way to celebrate a low key Hawaiian wedding ceremony than having a big party to celebrate?  Pretty much nothing.  Vicki and Sean are currently living in St. Louis, MO, but since they are from the Pittsburgh area they brought they party here and celebrated with family and friends in style.

I love details and this wedding surely did not disappoint.  Have a close look at the bouquets…they are paper.  PAPER!  I love them so, so much.  You can get some of your own from More Paper Than Shoes.
Wasn’t her dress stunning?
The obligatory take-a-picture-of-us-in-the-elevator photo. Seriously, they were so fun.
We didn’t have a whole lot of time for formals, and the rain was looming…but the ones we did get…KILLER.
Sean’s mom is of Filipino decent, so as part of their reception they had a full Filipino blessing ceremony.  If you thought those paper flowers were amazing, take a look at the hand made origami crane backdrop for their arbor.
No cocktail hour is complete without a fire dancer. The kids were in awe!
It’s pretty safe to say the reception was epic. There were Polkas and Irish step-dancing, where could you go wrong?
This bride is not only gorgeous, she’s athletic. Last weekend she was inducted in to the Allegheny College Sports Hall of Fame for her efforts on the volleyball court in college. Here she is showing off her moves with her teammates.

Congrats to you Vicki and Sean, thank you for letting me be a part of your day.

Emily & Jamie Got Married | Heather Krah Photography | Pittsburgh Wedding Photographer

I cannot even put into words how much I loved being a part of Jamie and Emily’s wedding.  For starters they won bonus points from me while doing their engagement session during the polar vortex last winter.  Besides the fact that they are fun and sweet and a million other wonderful adjectives, I love how in love they are.  Their wedding was a perfect reflection of that love.  Sure they don’t take great direction when you are trying to explain/demonstrate poses (cough…cough…Jamie…), but I couldn’t think of a greater couple to work with.

Now let’s see some photos, shall we?

Jess & Ben Got Married | Heather Krah Photography | Pittsburgh Wedding Photographer

I have come to know Jess fairly well over the last year and it was an honor to be a part of her and Ben’s special day. After all, as the daycare provider from my daughter since she was 4 months old she practically was a member of the family. Their ceremony was short, simple and perfect. They had a peanut butter and jelly cake topped with prizes from a gumball machine. I loved every minute of it. Thank you for letting me be a part of your day!
