What is a better way to celebrate a low key Hawaiian wedding ceremony than having a big party to celebrate? Pretty much nothing. Vicki and Sean are currently living in St. Louis, MO, but since they are from the Pittsburgh area they brought they party here and celebrated with family and friends in style.
I love details and this wedding surely did not disappoint. Have a close look at the bouquets…they are paper. PAPER! I love them so, so much. You can get some of your own from More Paper Than Shoes.
Wasn’t her dress stunning?
The obligatory take-a-picture-of-us-in-the-elevator photo. Seriously, they were so fun.
We didn’t have a whole lot of time for formals, and the rain was looming…but the ones we did get…KILLER.
Sean’s mom is of Filipino decent, so as part of their reception they had a full Filipino blessing ceremony. If you thought those paper flowers were amazing, take a look at the hand made origami crane backdrop for their arbor.
No cocktail hour is complete without a fire dancer. The kids were in awe!
It’s pretty safe to say the reception was epic. There were Polkas and Irish step-dancing, where could you go wrong?
This bride is not only gorgeous, she’s athletic. Last weekend she was inducted in to the Allegheny College Sports Hall of Fame for her efforts on the volleyball court in college. Here she is showing off her moves with her teammates.
Congrats to you Vicki and Sean, thank you for letting me be a part of your day.

I cannot even put into words how much I loved being a part of Jamie and Emily’s wedding. For starters they won bonus points from me while doing their engagement session during the polar vortex last winter. Besides the fact that they are fun and sweet and a million other wonderful adjectives, I love how in love they are. Their wedding was a perfect reflection of that love. Sure they don’t take great direction when you are trying to explain/demonstrate poses (cough…cough…Jamie…), but I couldn’t think of a greater couple to work with.
Now let’s see some photos, shall we?
