The ‘K’ Family | Heather Krah Photography | Pittsburgh Family Photographer

This family is so near and dear to my heart.  I love working with them year after year and watching their kiddos grow.  Besides, they are gorgeous!

One of my favorite things about this job is all of the wonderful new people that I get to meet.  This was my first time working with this adorable family and the did not disappoint.  They rocked their session.  And how about those pictures of Mom and Dad?!

Let me start by saying that I am a part of a pretty amazing community of photographers in the Pittsburgh area.  It is through this community that I was introduced to this wonderful lady…I mean, when you bond over Stepbrothers quotes you know your friendship was meant to be.  This year we swapped photo sessions and had so much fun doing so.  Here are some of my favorite shots from our morning together.

As far as families go, they are one of my favorites…and they have added one more!  I got to spend the morning with this fun bunch to document their new addition and was able to snap some of the other two in their newly redecorated rooms.  They were so excited to show them off and it was fun being able to capture them in their element and see their little personalities shine.

Happy New Year!!!  I’m starting off the year by finishing up blogging my last few sessions from 2013.  Up first the Hitchman Family!  Let me start off by saying that I love this family.  Our oldest kids met at daycare and also ended up in a swim class together.  (At the time I was 38 weeks pregnant and they were polite enough to act like I wasn’t the obvious buoy in the water.)  Their little ones are as adorable as can be, both with a great sense of style.  Little man loves to show off his shoes.  I’m so happy they chose me to capture their beautiful family on this fabulous fall day!  Now we just need to squeeze in one of those impromptu Starbucks trips.

Just because they are grown up doesn’t mean they don’t act like children.  This group was a ton of fun and proved that no matter how old you get, younger siblings will always drive you crazy…in a good way.  Thanks for the laughs. 2013-11-30_0004.jpg

50th Anniversary Celebration – Heather Krah Photography – Pittsburgh Family/Event Photographer

I had the honor of photographing a 50th Anniversary Celebration in mid-July.  Four generations got together to congratulate the happy couple on this incredible milestone.  In addition, guests made the trek from as far away as Australia to take part.  It was quite necessary that we captured some shots of this family all together, since it is a rare occasion that they are all in the same place at one time.  Congratulations again on 50 years!

Stahl Family Session – Heather Krah Photography – Pittsburgh Family Photographer

This fun group got together for an extended family session a few weeks back.  Getting all four kids to look at once was a task, but it made for some fun shots.

How many dogs are going to be in the picture?  Four?  Challenge accepted!  This fun family contacted me to get some special images taken as a Mother’s Day surprise.  We were able to get some fun sibling shots and even fit in a mini engagement session for one of the couples.  What a great group!

Rory is 1 ~ Pittsburgh Child Photographer ~ Heather Krah Photography

Say Hello to Rory!  Doesn’t he have the most gorgeous, big, brown eyes you’ve ever seen?  I absolutely adore this little guy.  His mom and I were pregnant at the same time and my baby is only a week older than him, which is so fun because they are cousins.

At first, he wanted nothing to do with the crazy lady with the camera.  Of course we had to get some with mom and dad too.  Then there came the cake.  He loved the cake.  That was, until he put his foot right in it and the tears started flowing.  It was all worth it to get these shots.
