Cailey + Jason | Heather Krah Photography | Pittsburgh Wedding Photographer

Cailey and Jason were such a pleasure to work with.  Throughout working with them I discovered we had a lot in common.  I knew we were destined to be friends when their first dance song, Tim McGraw’s My Best Friend, came on…it’s mine and my hubby’s song too.  Their day was so fun and full of love despite the sideways rain that made an appearance.  Speaking of appearances, make sure you check out this whole post…there was a special appearance at the reception.  Love and luck to you both!

Dan + Melanie | Heather Krah Photography | Pittsburgh Wedding Photographer

It’s so nice when a good plan comes together.  This could certainly be said for Melanie and Dan’s engagement session.  They were in town from York visiting Melanie’s family and we had a small window to get together.  In true Pittsburgh fashion it was raining, and not just raining, it was practically a hurricane outside.  We took a chance and waited it out.  Finally the skies cleared and they rocked it.  I’m looking to their August 2016 wedding!

Tammy + Deane | Heather Krah Photography | Pittsburgh Wedding Photographer

We had a gorgeous afternoon for Tammy and Deane’s engagement session.  We met up at the Frick Fine Arts Building on the University of Pittsburgh campus, Deane’s alma mater to start and then headed to Schenley Park.  Funny story, on my way to meet them I took a wrong turn…as is the usual for me…and I came across this field of flowers.  I knew they would love it and sure enough they looked fabulous in there.  I look forward to celebrating their wedding with them in October!

Awaiting Eli | Heather Krah Photography | Pittsburgh Maternity Photographer

I met April nearly 15 years ago during my freshman year of college, our dorm rooms next door to each other.  We shared a stunning view of the county jail.  Go ahead, be jealous.  Flash forward to a few years ago when we ran into each other at our workplace cafeteria when we reconnected.  I’m so glad we did and that she asked me to capture her maternal glow.  Have a peek at her session.

Vicki & Sean Got Married | Heather Krah Photography | Pittsburgh Wedding Photographer

What is a better way to celebrate a low key Hawaiian wedding ceremony than having a big party to celebrate?  Pretty much nothing.  Vicki and Sean are currently living in St. Louis, MO, but since they are from the Pittsburgh area they brought they party here and celebrated with family and friends in style.

I love details and this wedding surely did not disappoint.  Have a close look at the bouquets…they are paper.  PAPER!  I love them so, so much.  You can get some of your own from More Paper Than Shoes.
Wasn’t her dress stunning?
The obligatory take-a-picture-of-us-in-the-elevator photo. Seriously, they were so fun.
We didn’t have a whole lot of time for formals, and the rain was looming…but the ones we did get…KILLER.
Sean’s mom is of Filipino decent, so as part of their reception they had a full Filipino blessing ceremony.  If you thought those paper flowers were amazing, take a look at the hand made origami crane backdrop for their arbor.
No cocktail hour is complete without a fire dancer. The kids were in awe!
It’s pretty safe to say the reception was epic. There were Polkas and Irish step-dancing, where could you go wrong?
This bride is not only gorgeous, she’s athletic. Last weekend she was inducted in to the Allegheny College Sports Hall of Fame for her efforts on the volleyball court in college. Here she is showing off her moves with her teammates.

Congrats to you Vicki and Sean, thank you for letting me be a part of your day.

Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice – Heather Krah Photography – Pittsburgh Maternity Photographer

It’s a GIRL!! Seeing the parents’ faces when the find out their little bundle’s gender is hands down one of the best parts of my job. These two were so great to work with, I’m so glad they chose me to capture this for them.

Friends and The Strip…and lots of Rain – Heather Krah Photography – Pittsburgh Portrait Photographer

This session for an incredibly fun group of friends was simply amazing, except for the rain…lots and lots of rain. Most of them were in from out of town so a reschedule was out of the question, but the rolled with the punches and the result couldn’t have been any better. I was so impressed that they all coordinated, guys included, even though they were only supposed to be in a few shots. Thank you all for being such great sports on a less than ideal day.

Yount Family Session ~ Pittsburgh Family Photographer ~ Heather Krah Photography

How many dogs are going to be in the picture?  Four?  Challenge accepted!  This fun family contacted me to get some special images taken as a Mother’s Day surprise.  We were able to get some fun sibling shots and even fit in a mini engagement session for one of the couples.  What a great group!
